Marking the Year Together
The Northeastern Catholic District School Board publishes annual school year calendars to help families and staff plan ahead with confidence. These calendars outline important dates including the first and last day of school, holidays, professional activity (PA) days, and other key events throughout the year.
Because NCDSB serves a wide geographic region, two different school year calendars are published each year. One calendar applies to schools in Timmins, South Porcupine, Iroquois Falls, Cochrane, Kapuskasing, Kirkland Lake, Englehart, New Liskeard, and Cobalt, while a separate calendar is provided for Bishop Belleau School in Moosonee. This ensures local needs and community considerations are reflected, while all families have clear access to important dates and schedules.

2026-2027 School Year Calendar Consultation
The Northeastern Catholic District School Board invites students, families, staff, and community members to review and provide feedback on the draft 2026–2027 school year calendar. Developed collaboratively with our coterminous school boards, the draft calendar balances major holidays, regulatory requirements, and the needs of students and staff.
