We are deeply committed to fostering an environment where every student can achieve their full potential. Our dedication to student success is at the heart of everything we do, from the classroom to our strategic planning. We believe in providing a rich and supportive learning experience that not only meets but exceeds the provincial standards for education.

This page is dedicated to showcasing our commitment to student achievement. Here, you will find our most recent Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) results, which provide valuable insights into our students’ performance in reading, writing, and mathematics. We are proud of our students’ accomplishments, and we also recognize that there is always room for growth. These results inform our comprehensive Student Achievement Plan and demonstrate our ongoing efforts to improve learning outcomes and ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

Student Achievement Plan

The Student Achievement Plan is a mandatory framework established by the Ontario Ministry of Education as part of the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act, 2023. This plan requires all school boards in the province to publicly report on their performance and strategies for improvement across three key provincial priorities:

  • Achievement of Learning Outcomes in Core Academic Skills: This focuses on fundamental skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, often measured through EQAO results.
  • Preparation of Students for Future Success: This priority addresses student readiness for life after high school, including graduation rates, credit accumulation, and participation in job skills programs.
  • Student Engagement and Well-Being: This area measures student attendance, mental health awareness, and overall engagement in the school community.

Our Student Achievement Plan outlines our board’s specific goals, measures, and actions in each of these areas, demonstrating our commitment to transparently and strategically improving outcomes for every student.

EQAO Assessment Outcomes

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) conducts annual assessments in reading, writing, and mathematics at the Primary, Junior, and Grade 9 levels, along with the Grade 10 OSSLT. The results of these assessments offer valuable insight into student learning across the district and help guide strategies to support student achievement in literacy and numeracy. For more information on the assessment process, please visit the EQAO website. We encourage you to review our most recent board-wide results below.
