From November 17 to 21, 2025, the Northeastern Catholic District School Board (NCDSB) will join schools across Ontario in recognizing Anti-Bullying Week — a time to stand together against bullying and promote kindness, inclusion, and respect for all.
“As a Catholic school community, we are called to see the face of Christ in one another,” said Glenn Sheculski, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Anti-Bullying Week reminds us that our words and actions have the power to lift others up or tear them down. We choose to lift each other up — with kindness, compassion, and respect.”
Throughout the week, NCDSB schools will host a variety of activities and initiatives to promote positive relationships, empathy, and digital citizenship. Students and staff will participate in classroom discussions, awareness campaigns, and community-building events designed to strengthen inclusion and celebrate diversity.
“Our Catholic faith teaches us that love, kindness, and forgiveness are the foundations of peace,” said Tricia Weltz, Director of Education, “When we stand up to bullying and support one another, we live out the Gospel message and make our schools places where everyone belongs.”
